Fire Trucks!

As everybody who knows Jake knows- he is obsessed with firetucks! A friend form high school, James, owns a firetuck business in Brindley Mountain. A few weeks ago, Laurie, Paula and I took our 3 year olds to visit. Billy, Paula's husband, works there also and showed the boys around. They were all in heaven! They got to ride in a firetruck and Billy even let them talk on the speaker! If you look closely at the pic of the firetuck, you can see all 3 boys riding in it! Thanks so much Mr. Billy and Mr. James- Jake will come see you about a job in a few years! We can't wait until Evan moves back to Huntsville- Henry, Evan and Jake are going to have some fun growing up together- just like their moms!

Rhys is 1!

Rhys turned one on August 7th! WOW! The year has flown by so fast. It is hard to believe that she has been a part of our family that long- it seems like just yesterday we met her for the first time! She has changed all of our lives and it is hard to remember life without her. A daughter is a wonderful blessing and we have thanked God for her everyday- even Jake does! She celebrated in typical Manifold style- the celebration lasted for a week! Enjoy the pics!

The Beach

I am a little slow I know. Things have been CRAZY!!! Here are a couple of pics from our beach trip with the kids. The one of the men in my life is priceless! Rhys tried to eat the sand and Jake is not a fan either- therefore, we did alot of swimming! We are hoping to get back in October- maybe more pics then!

Anniversary

My parents recently celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary! They renewed their wedding vows and of course, we were all there to witness. It's funny how life changes- this picture looks a lot different then their wedding album! I am extremely thankful that God has given me and Tracey such an amazing example of true love- my parents even still hold hands! They have had an incredible journey so far and I'm sure it will only get better! I stand in amazement at my parents- especially in today's world- 40 years later they are still IN LOVE!! Congrats Mom and Dad!

Summertime

Well, summertime at our house means swimming and watching baseball. This summer has been no exception! We took Jake to his first Stars game- for those of you that don't know- Huntsville has a minor league baseball team! We had seats right next to the visiting team dugout- weren't those players lucky! Jake got a baseball and had some players sign it- he even got to see fireworks after the game! He loved it. Rhys on the other hand has taken after daddy- big surprise!! She loves the water and as the picture shows- doesn't mind wearing the goggles either! Enjoy what little bit of summer is left- I know we will!!

Betsy's wedding

Our high school friend, Betsy, got married in Virginia a few weeks ago. It was a great time- we got together with some of our best friends! We are all seperated by many miles and states, but somehow the girls and I are still like sisters! Life is funny how time marchs on, yet somethings and some people never change. We all still have a blast together. Gradually, they are all coming home and I couldn't be happier- there is nothing sweeter than a close friend who knows all your faults and still loves you anyway! Here we are all are at Betsy's wedding!

Pete and Repeat

I have always known my little girl looked just like her daddy- this picture just proves it wholeheartedly! I had to post it! I guess we should have named her Marvetta!

Snuggly!

Rhys is obsessed with her snuggly blankets. We have learned from Jake to keep plenty on hand- therefore she has three! First, second, and third string. On laundry day, she likes to help fold all the snugglies. Here is a pic of how she helps!

Thomas the Tank Engine

Here are some recent pics of the kids! Saturday we went to Chattanooga and rode on Thomas the Tank Engine. Jake was soooo excited! Besides a train ride, there was also a petting zoo and a blow up jumper. we also got to meet Sir Topham Hat. The other pictures are from around the house. Rhys is quite the musician- her piano is one of her favorite toys. The two of them love to play in the laundry baskets during laundry days- I think they want to race them like cars! By the way, the car Rhys is driving in some of the pics is actually a Build a Bear car- scary!
